Technology Demonstration
I selected EdPuzzle because it was a software program I’d heard of this school year but never got the opportunity to use in my classroom. After researching EdPuzzle’s capabilities, I chose it for this lesson because it is suitable for introductory lessons or vocabulary heavy lessons. In these scenarios, students are not asked to complete many tasks, but to demonstrate conceptual and factual understanding by answering the comprehensive questions on the video. Overall, this program significantly contributes to the lesson as it promptly provides teachers with comprehension data on students conceptual understanding of exponential properties and provides students with an alternative method of engaging with the lesson. This technology also helps to differentiate the lesson for students who struggle with reading, or English Language Learners (ELLs).
